We’ve included loads of enhancements, all aimed at improving the user’s experience across a wide range of devices.

Headlining the release is the inclusion of Integrated Scanning on Ricoh Smart Operation Panel (SmartSDK) devices. There is also a range of new and exciting enhancements for HP, Konica Minolta, Lexmark, Ricoh, Toshiba, and Xerox.

PaperCut MF with Integrated Scanning on Ricoh SOP (SmartSDK)

Integrated Scanning extends PaperCut MF’s print and copy management features with new pre-configurable Scan Actions ensuring effortless integration into existing business processes.

The PaperCut MF embedded application on Ricoh SOP devices has had a number of new functions added, including Integrated Scanning, the ability to select multiple print jobs when releasing, the tracking of printing from USB drives, and more. All this new functionality will make it feel like a new embedded application for Ricoh Multifunction Devices!

And yes, Ricoh Integrated Scanning is still supported on SDK/J devices as well!

Simple BYOD printing … whatever your print environment

Celebrate the end of 2017 by ending BYOD printing issues in any print environment with Mobility Print. Mobility Print now supports macOS servers and Linux servers, on top of our existing Windows server support. There is now freedom to easily change a BYOD print environment without having to spend days getting things up and running.

Since releasing Mobility Print, feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. IT folk and end users alike have remarked how the software “just works”, so IT can now move on to the next catastrophically urgent task. That’s a win!

And remember, Mobility Print is a core feature of both PaperCut NG and PaperCut MF. That means we don’t charge extra for this functionality, nor require you to sign up to a cloud service. It’s all locally hosted, in your control, in your network, and available to your organization today.

Very cool news with Ricoh SOP scanning. Much awaited function. Were going to have many happy customers 🙂

    • Thanks for letting us know! We are pretty excited over here too.

  • Conor Vahland

Great to see another device join the supported list for Integrated Scanning. Of course we recently moved away from several of these before integrated scanning was implemented and now awaiting on current fleet of Canon copiers to be supported. I’m hoping its in the next group of supported manufacturers 😉

    • Tim Bentley

      Hi Conor –

I can’t comment specifically on Canon at the moment, but we hope to complete the rollout of our Integrated Scanning feature in 2018.

  • Matt Munro

Does mobility print on linux also include OES/iPrint support?

    • Alex (PaperCut Support)

      Hi Matt,

Thanks for the comment. This is supported as of version 1.0.1514 (14 Nov 2017), see release notes below:
Support for Mobility Print servers on Linux (CentOS 6+, RedHat 6+, Ubuntu, Debian 6.0+, Novell SuSE 11.0+) and Apple Mac OS X.
Hope this answers your question. If you have any additional questions please email us at
      Thanks again.

Great news on the Ricoh integrated scanning, it’s a shame that it doesn’t include OCR yet as that is the only thing stopping us moving from eCopy to using the PaperCut functionality

    • Dan (Papercut Support)

      Hey Mark!

Thanks for getting in touch, Great to hear that you like the Ricoh Integrated Scanning!
We have an internal feature open for the OCR aspect of the scanning module.
Are you able to get in touch with us at
So that we can get your ticket linked to the request and can keep you updated with movements on it?

Question….Does the roadmap for integrated scanning include Fuji-Xerox devices. I got excited a while back when I saw it had come to Xerox devices, only to be disappointed it excluded FX devices..

    • Dale Micallef

      Hey Christoper,

That is a great question. I can reveal that integrated scanning on Fuji-Xerox is more than just on the roadmap, development is actually under way as we speak. Keep an eye on the next few releases as your excitement levels will return.

We have a question about mobility print app for android, we have installed papercut and currently works fine in our network, now we have installed on 3 asus zenfone, same version of android, same wireless network, but only one find all shared printers, and print well, the other 2 smartphones, didn’t find any printers… Why ?

    • Adam B

      Hi Gianluca,

Thanks for getting in touch! I noticed your support ticket via our ticketing system and have replied with troubleshooting steps via email there. We will need to run a few URL tests to see where the Mobility Print client is running into issues so keep an eye out for that email.
