Election Time

We’ve just rolled a new “Vote for a Feature” survey form. This is your chance as a PaperCut user to influence our development priority and ensure your most demanded features are pushed to the top. To vote, log into PaperCut as an admin user, click on the About tab and under Application News, click Vote now and have your say.

The survey results are sent through to the development team in real-time and are discussed at our feature review meetings. Please take a few moments to full it out and let us know what you think!

We would love to track all local printers in our environment. The challenge is writing and even more so maintaining the filter list for each individual workstation to ensure that only locally attached devices are being tracked. It would be great to have a port based filter in the config file that would allow me to specify to only include printers were port is LPT or USB. This way we could even deploy the provider on all PC’s in the company and any locally attached printer would automatically pop up after the next reboot.

    Hi Frank,

Just to close off this comment, the latest release (10.1) includes your request 🙂 This should make it easier for organizations running PaperCut and monitoring local printers in Novell iPrint environments.

  • I don’t see the link to vote?

Hi Rob, This post is a little old. Now, you’ll find the vote link on the About Tab under the Product Information section.

  • Thank you for another magnificent article. Where else could anybody get that kind of information in such a perfect way of writing? I’ve a presentation next week, and I am on the look for such information.

Is the “vote now” feature included in PaperCut MF 16.2?

    • Paul Williams

Hi Mr-Tin. The vote for a feature request was taking out of the application a while ago. But please feel free to email in to support@papercut.com with any requests you would like us to add.
